"It may be a bit loud"
One of the treats of building your own car is that it is never finished.
There's always need for something to tinker with.
It's all self made so when you want something done you just go for it!
Lately, Chris needed (some say wanted) to change the exhaust so in typical Chris G. fashion, he got right after it.

Whatever Lola Wants, ... Chris G. Builds
In his own words:
"I built my first car in 1990.
I saw a Cobra on a drink advert and it hooked me.
Then I was working at a chaps house who had started a build but had given up on it.
So I asked my wife if I could buy it and make it work. She was not overjoyed about it but she let me buy it.
We were building our own home at the time so it was a big ask.
That build took me 13 years to get it on the road.
The only thing I did not do was rebuild the engine.
I only spent money on the build as I got money from doing weekend work.
Half of that money went towards my Cobra and the other half went to my wife as we share everything.
The build is everything to me not the driving of the cars.
I get embarrassed about driving them.
I finished the cobra in 2003.

12 months later while talking to a friend who was building a clubby, I got the urge to have a go at building one.
But being a big fat bugger, I soon worked out that it would need to be bigger and have a V8.
The Clubby journey begun without telling my wife.
Once I had the chassis roughly knocked up at work and the 350 Chevy sitting in it I got the courage to tell my wife (sort of).
I went to a local swap meet on a Saturday and when i got home I told the bride ... "Oh by the way, I bought another car",
... did not get fed for a week!
... so the clubby took about 4 years to build.

Then in 2010, I said to my wife gunna build a GT40, so I bought a chassis and body off a middle man and when he delivered it the chassis was a piece of shite.
So I scrapped most of that and remade my own.
About the same time, I had a builder of GT40s come to my house for a shed visit and he said that I did not have the ability to build a GT40 so I thought Fuck You.
I am now 10 years into the GT40 build.
I do nearly everything myself as I am a tight arse.

Then came the Lola T70. A mate had access to a body mold so i got one all laid up and that got started.
I am just over 2 years into this build.
The chassis has been built from 4 photos I have on the wall of my shed using similar methods as when they were done back in the day.
Not an exact replica but my interpretation.
It will hopefully end up with an alloy body.
My builds are not show quality but they don't have to be as long as I am happy with the results.
Thats all that matters!
So my advice would be jump in and have a go.
Do what ever you can and farm out what you can't, ... and if someone tells you you can't build it, ... tell them to piss off.
Sorry for the long windedness as I am not good with computers and writing stuff.
